Can't reach no one its been over 2 months the desk lady claimed the social security web site was down o I sent the proof by fax still no response 3 calls 2 faxes im disabled and on strong injections I hurt terrible and I need my snap case updated with paper work proof I sent what I was supposed why arnt they doing there job? I'm very upset.

I am disabled and have not worked since May 30, 2012. I receive SSDI and have for over eight years. Being sent to workforce for an orientation when I can't work is a waste of time. Please advise THERESA that I was eight minutes late this morning and could NOT ATTEND. So you are aware, I did speak with Mr. Peter Keenan this morning regarding my situation. He suggested rescheduling for Friday. Hope that is OK!

I applied for snap benefits 8/10/23. I received my interview date for 8/18/23@9am. They ended up calling me at 8:47 and missed their call because I figured I had some time beforehand. So I call them back at 8:50 am and then they finally called back at 9:13. I was told that because me myself and I missed the 5 day ( basically its my fault I missed the 5 day deadline for snap) that they have 30 days to process my application, even though I qualified for expedited food stamps. So I got screwed. The only time I've spoke to my case worker was on 8/18. I've called them numerous times and no call back or nor have I even met my caseworker face to face. When I call all they tell me is I've sent an email and they have up to 2 business days to return your call and then they can't be bothered to return your calls even after the 2 business days...it's ridiculous. I've never had any of these problems with any other dss only with chemung county dss. I can only go to the food pantries once a month a

SO rude.. I filled out paperwork for what I needed 2 weeks ago & still have not got a answer. I have no car currently so I was promised a phone interview at a specific date & time but they never contacted me. So I’ve been calling for 2 weeks now. Whenever I get someone on the line they always transfer me to a lady the NEVER answers. In this persons voicemail it say to leave your name, number , & reason for calling (which I do) & they’ll get back to me in one business day. I have yet to get a call back… & today I was hung up on the first call. The second call I was hung up on and told to call when I’m not having a two way conversation (because I have a one year old who was talking to me in the background). Then my third call they did not answer AT ALL. Look I’m sorry I’m sorry you hate your job and all but you picked your job (reception lady) not me. It’s YOUR JOB to take calls. Let’s drop the attitude. Tioga County gave me NO problem at all had everyone needed from them in just 3 days.
